Hello, I am Haritha Akkala. I was a simple mother, living a normal life until I became pregnant with my second child. The pregnancy complications started pulling me down. When my daughter was born, I felt a mix of extreme happiness and extreme worry. Fear about the future surrounded me, and I began to feel very alone.

The nightmares continued, and I found myself sitting in corners, crying, thinking I wouldn’t be able to protect my little girl. I became aggressive, often shouting, and I started to notice that I was changing in ways I didn’t like. I would hit my elder child in frustration, only to cry afterward and beg for his forgiveness. That’s when I decided I couldn’t let this continue. I promised myself that I would not sit in a corner and cry anymore—I would fight back against my anxieties.

I made a two-year commitment to myself and asked my husband and children for their support. I wanted to study the reasons behind my stress and learn how to cope with them. I began enrolling in courses with Puja Puneet and started to understand why I was so fearful. I realized that there were past traumas that had been unheard and unseen, emotional wounds that had been neglected. These hidden pains were creating big stories in my mind, stories that were stopping me from living a happy life.

I started to face each trauma and change the stories I told myself. Through this journey, I met people, learned from them, and gradually became a life coach, a motivational speaker on Suman TV, a health planner with Care Health Insurance, and an insurance advisor with Aditya Birla. Slowly, through learning and sharing, I began to succeed.

My relationships with my husband, children, parents, siblings, in-laws, and neighbours also improved after a few months of taking charge. I realized that I didn’t need to change or fix anyone else. Instead, I focused on motivating myself and being flexible. I stopped waiting for others to change for me and started asking myself, ‘How can I improve in this situation? What can I learn from this? How can I calmly let them know that something is not okay?’ This mindset shift made all the difference.
